  1. Currently pursuing undergrads from a U.S University
  2. Enrolled in a Marketing or related program.
  3. Someone who wish to break into marketing ecosystem beyond just content marketing.
  4. Actively looking for marketing internships
  5. Previous experience is a plus but not a deal breaker.

Overview

This training cohort equips you with a marketing toolbox necessary for helping companies and startups grow. You'll start with basic marketing fundamentals to jumpstart your career, such as paid campaigns, automations, social media, etc., and then move on to advanced topics such as working with AI tools, crafting a narrative, researching trends, market sentiments, and building a complete story around it. All this, while working on an industrial project building real metrics at scale.

After the cohort, when you start working with a company, your skill profile will no longer be limited to just a content marketer. You will have a complete marketing stack to offer to the companies, making your professional value overall higher.

Throughout the program, Hector will train you in marketing strategies, sharing hidden secrets for attracting and retaining consumers.

Curriculum

Your curriculum is broken in 16 sessions, each of which will have a theme associated to it which is chained to the previous session. Think of it like Netflix series, where each episode moves the story ahead. Similarly each session brings on new challenges, new insights that will be a part of your overall project.

Understanding Value Proposition

Start with understanding how to access a value proposition of any company, its product or service. You’ll get through the following topics:

  1. SuperMario Bros Powers - JTDB(Jobs To Be Done) Analysis
  2. Who is it designed for? Power User - Customers vs Users
    1. Analyze Early Adopters
    2. Get Clear Examples
  3. With the above learnings, Understand how to identify value proposition on products. Time for a practical exercise!

Researching The Market

Equipped with the super powers to analyze a company, now its time to research the market and get into the ecosystem. You’ll do that by the following:

  1. Building a Strategy for pro-benchmark analysis between companies
  2. Gathering a solid market data to backup your hypothesis. These metrics like, data numbers, downloads, active users, etc.

Put Thesis to Action

Now since you have the data to back up your hypothesis that serves as a starting points, its time to create an initial framework of your action. This is where you get introduce to a bunch of marketing essentials and tools. (Like Miroboards for collaboration and mindmapping).

Finally after you have learned the initial process, its time to work on a real project, a real product or service whom you can cater too. It’s completely your choice.

Designing a Framework

Since you already have a project by now, let’s start by designing a framework to give your project a direction. As we achieve that, we’ll:

  1. Start capturing insights
  2. Establish its relevance
  3. Connect all the learnings to the company

The Growth Marketing

So by now, you have a project, a basic and have designed a model to approach the problem; This is when you’ll be introduced to fundamentals of marketing techniques built for performance. Let’s get the basics right with:

  1. A/B Testing Basics → Test your marketing ideas in real-time with a set of customers. It could be money or content.
  2. Funnels and Pipelines → Design a flow of potential customers journey to the product.
  3. Conversion → Flow of the pipelines till you make them your customers
  4. Planning tasks and marketing experiments

Customer Feedback Loop

When you convert the people from external sources to you product as customers, you want improve on your efforts, to optimize your strategy and double down on what works. The best way to do this → Asking the customers. This can be done by:

  1. Creating Feedback Loops → Crafting creative ways to ask for feedback (Many many ways to be studied)
  2. Audience → Create a tight-knit set of people based on geographies, interests and behaviors to effectively reach target customer.
  3. Re-organizing the task with the learnings and deploying more experiments.

Marketing Channels and Actions

As you progress with your marketing efforts, lets understand more path(or channels) from where we can approach our target customers. There are more ways to reach our ideal customer, and no one solutions fits all, so lets go through them:

  1. Email Marketing
  2. Text/SMS Marketing. There are smart ways to make this work!
  3. Designing custom journeys that caters to specific audience. Explore with examples

Exploring More Channels

We continue to explore more creative channels of reaching the target audience, so of which are mentioned below:

  1. Public forums → How to pick the right ones
  2. Outreach platforms → Apollo, phantom busters, etc.
  3. Social Media channels → Visual, Textual or Audio. Next session elaborates about this in detail.

Social Media Marketing

This is the most common marketing channel which comes to anyone’s mind when spoken spreading awareness about the content. Let’s explore this inside-out!

  1. Finding trends, updates, and roles of managers
  2. Content Marketing. Content is king!
  3. Paid vs Organic Strategies. How to work with both

Performance Marketing I

Get introduced to a service based marketing, where more people work together towards a very analytical campaigns. In this session you’ll see:

  1. Types of performance marketing with case studies
  2. Different platforms and tools used to create a successful campaigns
  3. Designing custom creatives for this campaigns

Performance Marketing II

Continuing where you last leave off in the previous session, you work on more granular metrics such as:

  1. Understanding all the relevant CPC, CPA and CPL
  2. Choosing the channels and preparing a campaign
  3. Finally, Launch , Measure and Learn!

Campaign Analysis

The complete session time will be allotted on learnings, feedback loops, re-iterations and optimization of marketing efforts you made since the beginning of the cohort

Marketing Meets AI

With the ever rising relevance of AI in todays ecosystem, you want to be equipped with knowledge that can help you blaze faster in your marketing efforts. This session helps you explore the same:

  1. Must have AI tools
  2. How can AI replace (or help) you to achieve results faster, better and cheaper

Research And Contrast

Evaluating your marketing efforts and identifying what could have been done better. Essentially walking back the journey in retrospect to see how far you have come along and how you can redo things now in an even efficient way, which includes:

  1. Accessing Campaign Experiments
  2. Getting insights and learnings
  3. Choosing KPIs that matter

By the end of this session you’ll be able to understand your Growth Marketing Plan

Story Build And Resources

Now that you understand a complete lifecycle of marketing a product or a service, you’ll work on crafting a narrative, a story of the product. This is a hero session for you, where you can glorify and boast about factors that worked in your favor and make a product or service more attractive. This is a crucial skill that alot of companies need from their star marketers! You’ll also learn about some impactful books and resources that will be your evergreen friends, along with the Colab community.
